iPhone 16 leaks: Apple said to power all new iPhones with A18 chipset. Everything we know so far

Leaks surrounding the iPhone 16 suggest that Apple is planning significant upgrades, particularly with the introduction of the A18 chipset across all new iPhone models. This move marks a continuation of Apple's strategy to enhance performance and energy efficiency in its devices.

The A18 chipset, expected to power the entire iPhone 16 lineup, will reportedly feature advanced AI capabilities and a 6-core GPU, boosting overall performance and efficiency. This new chip is anticipated to enhance various aspects of the iPhone experience, including faster processing speeds, improved graphics, and better battery life.

Design-wise, the iPhone 16 series will maintain a similar look to the iPhone 15 models, with some subtle refinements. Notably, the camera system on the standard models will shift to a vertical lens arrangement, while the Pro models will continue with the square camera bump. The Pro variants are also expected to adopt Samsung’s advanced "M14" OLED display panels, promising improved brightness and longer lifespan.

In terms of display size, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will feature larger screens, measuring 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively. This increase in size will make the devices slightly taller and wider compared to their predecessors, although the overall thickness will remain unchanged .

Color options for the iPhone 16 remain a topic of speculation, with some reports suggesting a variety of hues including blue, pink, yellow, green, black, and white. However, notable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts a more limited palette excluding purple and yellow..

These enhancements, coupled with the integration of the A18 chipset, signify Apple's ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of smartphone technology. The iPhone 16 series is expected to offer a blend of refined aesthetics, superior performance, and cutting-edge features, catering to both existing users and new customers alike. The official launch is anticipated in September 2024
