what is refrigerator?

A refrigerator is an electrical appliance that is primarily used for cooling and preserving food and beverages. It works by extracting the heat from the inside of the refrigerator and transferring it to the outside, via the process of refrigeration.

The appliance is made up of several components, including an insulated compartment, a compressor, a condenser, an evaporator, and a thermostat. The refrigerator is an essential appliance in most households as it helps in keeping food fresh for a longer period of time, thus reducing food spoilage and wastage. It is available in different sizes and designs, ranging from small countertop models for use in small apartments, to large ones that can accommodate the needs of an entire family.

      How can use this?
To use a refrigerator, you first need to plug it into an electrical outlet and turn it on using the power switch or control panel. Wait for a few minutes for the refrigerator to start cooling. Once it has cooled, you can begin storing your food and beverages inside. It's essential to ensure that the refrigerator is at the appropriate temperature - usually 35-38 degrees Fahrenheit (1-3 degrees Celsius) in the main compartment and zero degrees Fahrenheit (-18 degrees Celsius) in the freezer. Make sure to organize your food and beverages appropriately, with labeled containers for easy access. Finally, ensure that you clean and defrost your refrigerator regularly by wiping down the interior and emptying the contents of the freezer. This will help keep your food fresh and reduce the growth of bacteria.

should I get the Activa or the electric scooter?

While the Activa is cheaper, it costs more to run compared to electric scooters
A few years ago, most people looking for a scooter would have chosen the Honda Activa. However, given the plethora of electric scooters on offer, making a decision is not that easy. There are pros and cons to choosing to buy an Activa or an electric scooter.
To simplify the decision, focus on the cost part. These mainly include acquisition costs, fuel costs and maintenance costs. I won't discuss resale value as there are too many variables to consider. But in a general comparison between plastic-based EVs and metal-bodied Activas, it's easy to see which model lasts longer. Of course there are exceptions such as the all steel Bajaj Chetak.
Activa vs Electric Scooters - Cost of Acquisition.
For a budget of Rs 1.2 lakhs, you can save a lot by opting for Activa. The Activa 110 is available in Standard, DLX and H-Smart variants. Prices range from Rs 75,347 to Rs 81,348. It retails for around Rs 90,000, saving you Rs 30,000. This can be used to purchase accessories for the scooter. Or just use some cash to buy electronics, clothes, travel, and more. You can also invest your savings in stocks, FDs, etc.
Popular e-scooter options for a budget of Rs 1.2 lakh include Ola S1 Air, Ola S1, Ather 450X, TVS iQube and iQube S, Bajaj Chetak and Hero Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro. Buying the low-spec variants of these e-scooters might save you some money from your Rs 1.2 lakh budget.

For instance, the cheapest option is the Ola S1 Air priced at Rs 84,999. The Ather 450X is also a good deal at Rs 98,079. The effective price of the Vida V1 Plus is Rs 1.03 lakh. The TVS iQube starts at Rs 1.06 lakh. Prices for the Bajaj Chetak start at Rs 1.11 lakh.
Activa vs Electric Scooters - Fuel Costs
Gas and electricity costs vary by state. In general, fuel costs for electric vehicles are much lower. In Delhi, petrol prices are around Rs 97 per liter. Assuming the Activa has an average fuel efficiency of around 50 km/l, the running cost is around Rs 1.9 per km. In comparison, electric scooters are much cheaper to run. For example, the Ola S1 Pro only costs 17 paise per kilometer. Obviously, you can save a lot of money with an electric scooter.
